Description Hercules Pro Dope 8oz (237mL) is an oil-based thread sealant with a uniform, smooth consistency that ensures easy application.  Designed for use with metal threaded pipe (not for use in oxygen & petroleum gases pipe lines) Prevents rust and corrosion Wipes clean from hands Oil-based thread sealant with a uniform, smooth consistency for easy application Use in pipe systems carrying water, natural gas, air, steam, ammonia, brine, diluted acids and alkalis Will not leak or drip out of the container Resists hardening and cracking Do not use for LP gas & Oxygen lines  or  on plastic pipe For oxygen installations you should use the specially designed Teflon Tape Oxygen TF5-25. Complies with the requirements of ANSI/NSF61 & TT-S-1732. Operating Pressure:  withstands : hydraulic pressure up to 17 bar  ♦  air and steam pressure up to 14 bar Operating Temperature Range: from -17 °C to  177 °C Max.
